Due to series of public events leading to blockage of streets and transportation network in major areas of Hong Kong, the processing and delivery of all outbound and inbound mail are being affected. The impact is expected to last for a few days.
Japan Post has advised that Haneda (HND) and Narita (NRT) airports will be temporarily closed on 12 October 2019 owing to Typhoon Hagibis, which is due to hit the east of Japan. The airports will resume operations on 13 October. Japan Post is making every effort to maintain operational performance for international postal services as far as possible. Unavoidable service delay may be expected.
Bermuda Post Office has advised that operations have now returned to normal.
Australia Post has advised that a severe weather event, with bushfires in regional New South Wales, is affecting the collection and delivery of all mail products for postcode area 2469. There will also be impacts on mail flows into and out of Australia, owing to difficulties transporting the mail to and from the aforementioned area.
Thailand Post has updated that the situation has returned to normal following the recent flooding. Mail operations, including delivery of postal items, have resumed in all postcode areas
Barbados Postal Service has updated that full operations have resumed at the processing centre in Bridgetown.
Pos Indonesia has updated that postal operations affected by its operational processes restructuring are now back to normal.

Hellenic Post has advised that the General Confederation of Greek Workers has announced a 24-hour strike, which will begin on 2 October 2019. Both international and domestic mail collection and deliveries will be affected.
