Japan Post has advised that the country is experiencing heavy rains and massive flooding. The postal network has been severely affected and some post offices have been closed. Some roads are also inaccessible to traffic, which is delaying the delivery of all postal items.

China Post has advised that several provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River have recently been experiencing severe waterlogging or massive flooding resulting from heavy rains. The collection, delivery and transportation of all inbound and outbound international mail products (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) to and from Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Guangxi, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Guizhou provinces is subject to disruption, and the processing, transportation and delivery of inbound items to those provinces may be delayed. China Post is therefore declaring a situation of force majeure.

La Poste has advised that a national strike affecting many sectors is planned in France for Thursday, 5 December 2019. While offices of exchange will remain open and transport of mail by road will continue, significant disruption is expected with road blocks, traffic jams, cancelled flights, and delays to collection and deliveries.
