Sri Lanka Post has updated that the strike has ended and all postal operations have resumed.
Antigua and Barbuda – Strike
The designated operator of Antigua and Barbuda, the General Post Office has advised that postal staff in Antigua and Barbuda are currently staging a sit-in.
This is impeding operations and resulting in delays in the movement of mails.
Lanka Post has advised that the Joint Postal Trade Unions Front launched a strike from midnight of 12 June 2018, which will affect the delivery of all categories of mail from the Colombo Office of Exchange and the clearance of airmail consignments at Colombo International Airport.
The Track and Trace function will be unavailable from 09th Jun 2300hrs (GMT +8) to 10th Jun 0900hrs (GMT +8) due to a scheduled maintenance. We apologise for the inconvenience.
United States Postal Service (USPS) has updated that processing and deliveries have returned to normal in the Northeastern United States, following the disruptions caused by storms.
Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos has updated that the truck driver strike has ended on 4 June 2018. Normal mail flow will take some days to be re-established.
The Confederation of the Greek workers and the Association of the Civil Servants have announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday, the 30th of May.
Also the air traffic controllers have announced a 3 hours’ work stoppage from 10:00 to 13:00 (local time).
These actions will affect both international and domestic mail collection and delivery.
